River Ribble

The river is very high at the moment due to the current heavy rainfall and the banks are treacherous so we would advise members not to fish on Church Deeps until the water levels drops. Last week good bags of roach and chub where taken on the stick float with maggots and worms being the killer bait. Several good barbel have been taken using feeders.

Southport Drains

All the drains are being heavily pumped at the moment making conditions very hard but using a link ledger in the margins works well for skimmers and hybrids.

Anglezarke Reservoir

Water levels are very high but still good bream and roach catches are being reported .

Upper Rivington Reservoir

Members are enjoying excellent catches with some days a bite a chuck with roach and bream using feeders with maggots and worms. Please note that cereal and bread based groundbaits are not allowed on this water but feeders may be plugged with leam or soil based groundbaits.

Twin Lakes Croston

Members have been taking advantage of this still water fishery ,which has,nt been affected with recent bad weather with catches of silver fish up to 30lbs ,caster and hemp working very well. Also this venue has a on site cafe and toilets. Please remember to take your membership card.

Southport Drains

The winter levels have now been set on the drains which means the water is eighteen inches to two foot lower than the normal summer levels also with the heavy rain last week the pumps were pulling the excess water very fast . At the moment there is a slow run off and the drains are fishable. Tench are still turning up along with some good bream on all methods, sweetcorn working especially well.

Southport Drains

Early morning and evenings have been the best times due to the bright sunshine and clear water anglers have been reporting bags of large bream and tench with fish up to 6lbs using red maggots and caster over hemp on the River Crossens. The Three Pools has been rather patchy but members are catching tench and decent bags of rudd.

Mainly large bream and eels are in abundance along with small barbel on pellets.

Anglezarke and Rivington Reservoirs

Fishing well for bream and roach with specimens up to 8lbs on maggot feeder.

Southport Drains

Tench is once again featuring on the River Crossens along with large bream with specimens up to 6lbs.The Three Pools is starting to fish a little better now with decent bags of roach and skimmers along with a few tench.

River Ribble Church Deeps

A lot of fish being caught mainly roach and chublets along with eels and large bream. A few barbel are showing but no double figures as yet.

Both waters been rather quiet last week but except for the occasional specimen bream.

Southport Drains

With the rain during week the River Crossens turned on with anglers taking bags up to 30lb of bream and tench with specimens up to 5lb. The Three Pools is rather quiet at the moment with a occasional tench along with skimmers, roach and rudd.

River Ribble Church Deeps

Recent rain has risen the levels but still a lot of weed coming downstream but members have been catching small barbel along with bream up to 7lbs. Anglers who been using the stick float have caught roach and chublets.

Anglezarke and Rivington Reservoirs

Anglezarke has produce good bags roach and bream this week. Upper Rivington bream fishing has been good with fish up 8lbs, please remember keepnets are not allowed on either of these waters

Southport Drains

Fairly patchy at the moment with a few skimmers and roach being the mainstay of catches . Only a few tench have been reported this week with fish going to 4lbs.

River Ribble Church Deeps

Fishing has been very hard for the opening days of the new season due to low water levels and thick blanket weed. But with the recent rain river levels has risen and lot of the weed is being flushed out conditions are looking good for this coming weekend. A few chub and bream up to 3lbs have been reported this week being caught using float trotting methods.

Anglezarke and Rivington Reservoirs

Not many fishing on Anglezarke at the moment but good bags of roach are being caught using a maggot feeder.
A recent match on Upper Rivington produced a winning weight of 50lb plus comprising mainly of bream also pleasure anglers are also catching good bags of roach and bream with fish up to 6lbs

Twin Lakes

Weights up 20lbs of sliver fish being landed, with depths up to 18 feet a slider float,pole and feeder are the best methods on this venue
