The River Ribble
The Association has 30 pegs on the River Ribble at Walton-Le-Dale Nr Preston Lancs. Double figure barbel and bream are caught here as are pike and carp to over 20lbs. Quality chub and roach are also present . Please note this is a members only water no day tickets are issued and the national close season applies March 14th-16th June Care is needed while accessing fishing pegs due to the steepness of the river bank it is recommended that anglers travel light.
Waters levels are affected by the larger tides which raises the River by several feet so caution must be taken.
Also the Association controls part of the River Darwen and the River Ribble below London Road Bridge Preston. Access is through the shopping estate on Capitol Way. Please be aware that there is no parking in the Park and Ride Car Park as you will be fined and your car may be wheel clamped . There is a small parking place near to the Park and Ride. The map provided is not accurate because a large shopping estate has been built in the area since the map was produced.
