Southport and District Angling Association has negotiated with twin Lakes fishery for members to fish the North Lake. This is the coarse lake with about forty pegs which contains mainly silver fish but also contains carp, trout, skimmers and tench. Perch to three pounds have also been caught .
There is a good car park and lodge where hot food and drinks can be purchased.
Fishing can start immediately
Opening Times
British Summer Time (March to October) Gate opens at 8.00am and closes at 9.00pm. Please pack up before the gates are closed.
GMT (October to March) Gates open at 8.00am and closes at 4.30pm or dusk whichever comes first.
Rules
- 1. Normal SDAA rules are applicable to members.
- 2. You will need your membership card to book into the lodge before you fish.
- If you do not take your card you will be charged £6.00 for a day ticket.
- 3. The fly lake is off limits.
- 4. Knotless keepnets are allowed but no trout or fish over 4lbs to be retain in the net.
- 5. The Twin Lakes management reserve the right to refuse the use of keepnets in hot weather.
- 6. If you catch a trout you can either return it immediately or kill to buy when you leave.
- Price is based on size at the going rate per pound.
- Members who steal trout will be expelled from the SDAA.
- 7. No trout pellets or other high protein baits are to be used but normal pellets are allowed.
- 8. No nuts or bloodworm.
- 9. No spinning or live baiting.
- 10. One kilo of ground bait per person per day. Loose feed permitted.
- 11. Barbless hooks only.
- 12. Two rods per person from the same peg.
- 13. SDAA matches may be held from time to time. Notices will be posted in advance together with the pegs which are to be used. If you not fishing the match please do not used the allocated pegs.
- 14. The Twin Lakes management reserve the right to sell there own day tickets for this lake. No day tickets are available from SDAA outlets for Twin Lakes
